DuBois is a former legislative assistant to a U.S. Senator, a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Interior, and is the founder of the DuBois Rodeo Scholarship.

County foray into Forest Service campgrounds a success so far
This year the campground on U.S. Forest Service property is being managed by the Linn County Parks Department, which is accepting reservations at the formerly first-come, first-served facility. Reservations are also being taken for nearby House Rock Campground. In January, Linn County signed a five-year contract with the Forest Service to manage six rustic campgrounds east of Cascadia. Linn County will pay the Forest Service 5.3 percent of adjusted gross income, or a minimum of $2,628 annually. The campgrounds have taken in about $49,000 annually.
