Thanks to everyone that attended the tour of the two FOB sites on Friday!  We had a great turn out!!  After viewing the two sites, it was almost a unanimous decision that the Battalion Rd site - 7 miles from the border was better situated, had higher visibility that could act as a deterrent and offered more access to the border than the Horsecamp Dr. site!!

Don't forget John Salazar, Hidalgo County Manager, has arranged to get several law enforcement agencies together for a meeting in Rodeo, NM, tomorrow at 1:00 p.m..... this is another opportunity to express our concerns about border security.  Please join us!!

The date for the Rodeo citizen / Law Enforcement meeting to address concerns is September 13, 2011, starting at 1PM @ the Rodeo community center.  Can you get the word out to the citizens within the immediate area? Jake Rollo from Bingaman’s office, U.S.B.P & the Hidalgo County Sheriff will be attending.  I will make request to have representation for NMSP & MTP as well.
