Joe Delk's mother, Gertrude Twiss
Delk, passed away early this morning in Silver City. Joe was in
Albuquerque when he received word of her death and drove to Silver
arriving at sunup this morning. Mrs. Delk had been in the hospital recovering
from recent surgery. She was 87.
At this time, the family is planning a
public service in Silver City on Saturday afternoon. A private burial will take
place at the Delk Ranch in Santa Rita following the public service.
