Wolf Sabotage

by Jim Beers

ITEM:

Wolf advocates post how-to manual for saboteurs Associated Press

HELENA, Mont. — Environmentalists upset with a federal proposal to remove protections for wolves across most of the U.S. have posted a manual on how to disrupt wolf hunts and sabotage traps.

QUESTION:

If those American parents, ranchers, dog owners, hunters, bicyclists, hikers, joggers, County Officials (dependent on Local tax revenue from an economically viable County), elderly, and other assorted rural Americans - “upset with a THE federal proposal PROGRAMS to remove protections for FORCIBLY INSERT AND PROTECT wolves across most of the U.S. have HAD posted a manual on how to disrupt wolf hunts RELEASES and sabotage traps WOLF INTRODUCTIONS, WOLF COLLARS AND KILL ALL WOLVES” – what would have happened?

ANSWER:

The US Fish and Wildlife Service would have launched a major investigation and saturated wolf country with informants, undercover officers and media coverage. Since all this would cost lots and since wolves are such a “charismatic mega-species” (that means they generate lots of votes) Congress and a posturing President would have ladled more money and more personnel to USFWS to assert federal control and respect.
The FBI and Department of Justice would have become involved to make their forensics and eavesdropping access to NSA information accessible to federal investigative teams. ATF would have become involved since there was probable cause that guns (OOOHHH!) would not only be used to kill wolves but it is reasonable to believe that all such anti-wolf people own guns as well.
The Department of Homeland Security would have become involved since terrorists might ally themselves with anti-wolf people since anyone opposing federal wolf policy owns guns and is prima facie displaying dissatisfaction with the central government.
Of course, State and Local law enforcement officials and employees would be suspect and therefore excluded from any investigations or knowledge of the massive federal ongoing (and never-ending) investigations into the anti-government conspiracies in our midst.
Anyone arrested and found guilty would have been the star of a federal Show Trial, quicker than a Fort Hood multiple homicide trial. The culprits would be found guilty of multiple wolf homicides and conspiracy to commit multiple wolf homicides and sentenced to non-negotiable punishment, unlike drug dealers that are no longer prosecuted fully by federal bureaucracies and federal courts. Felonies, fines and public disgrace would assure prison time; loss of voting rights and 2nd Amendment (gun) rights forever; and the likelihood of future employment possibilities similar to that of a convicted child molester.

CONSIDER:

These “environmentalists” are treated like bureaucrats at a UN training session. Their “environmental”/”animal rights” fellow travelers are suing in Minnesota and Michigan to prohibit any and all control of wolves to myriad cheers in the newspapers and on TV. They are pictured as youngsters on some sort of secular mission to forcibly convert religious heathens.
The federal government is reputedly “transferring” wolf management to State governments (who will assume ALL the expenses and headaches) so “sabotaging” hunting and trapping has become A STATE ISSUE! The feds could care less since they will retain the trump hand that mandates a large MINIMUM level of wolves in each state (wolves that coincidentally CANNOT BE COUNTED ACCURATELY over large areas but judges are never told that).
So the USFWS/FBI/DOJ/ATF/DHS et al can rest easy. The fact that radicals in Oregon or Minnesota are conspiring to “disrupt” hunting/trapping in Montana or Idaho by publishing such a manual is probably just a rumor anyway. It has to be “proven” as a fact before the federal government becomes involved in purported “interstate conspiracies” and besides hunting and trapping issues in a handful of states are not as important as other current federal priorities like determining that men with saps outside Philadelphia voting sites are really not law violators, or how to present federal drug case evidence such that prison time is minimized or eliminated, or why some Moslem committing multiple murders in Texas while yelling a Jihadist War Cry is Workplace Violence; all while releasing other convicted felons, buying a prison in Illinois with Un-Appropriated (i.e. forfeited property receipts in the DOJ) funds for unspecified reasons and simultaneously smuggling guns into Mexico.
Next thing you know, this “Manual” will be available in signed editions on Amazon with a deep discount if you join Earth First or “Defenders” of Wildlife or The Humane Society of the United States.
So wish your game wardens (OOOPS I mean Investigator/Agents) Good Luck, they will need it. As quick as they get some new state law introduced or regulation issued, these “environmentalists” will issue manual updates through the media or Amazon or both to offset state efforts to manage wolves. Anyway, the USFWS still hasn’t “really” transferred authority over wolves back to the states. While USFWS will always be able to pull the rug out from under future State politicians and bureaucrats who think they don’t have to “play ball”: the transfer saga continues like a Saturday Night Live skit.
This morning’s paper reports that USFWS has “delayed” appointing the “Scientific” (OOOOH!) Board necessary to dump the costs and headaches of wolves on submissive state governments (identified as the ones on the ground with their paws up in the air and their tails tucked between their hind legs). It seems one of the “Environmental” groups’ nose is out of joint since they can’t (so far) force their “expert” to sit on this national Board. Poor babies.
What a mess with smoke and mirrors all about, no end in sight, no answers and no comic book hero to save the day.
Thank you Washington politicians for making all this possible. I am so pleased that you won’t have to pay for your health-care or pay into Social Security like the rest of us. Like someone once said; what does it pay a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul? It’s surely not worth healthcare and a big pension.
