Plus a few items on western history, western literature and the sport of rodeo... Frank DuBois served as the NM Secretary of Agriculture from 1988 to 2003. DuBois is a former legislative assistant to a U.S. Senator, a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Interior, and is the founder of the DuBois Rodeo Scholarship.

Song Of The Day #250

Ranch Radio will celebrate it's 250th program with some modern bluegrass by Ryan Holladay.

Why Holladay? Because he was 12 years old when he recorded these songs. We feature two instrumentals, Boston Boy and Shadow Ridge, but the kid can also sing, especially singing harmony with Mark Holladay.

The tunes are available on his 12 track CD New Kid In Town.

And oh, by the way, Ryan plays mandolin & banjo on both tracks, and also takes the guitar break on both.

Now let's see, what was I doing when 12?
