BLM rounds up 382 wild horses in southeast Nevada

 

The federal government removed 382 wild horses from federal lands in southeastern Nevada, the Bureau of Land Management said Sunday.

That includes horses successfully removed and those that died.

The BLM reported 11 deaths. Four were sudden or acute. Seven were from pre-existing or chronic conditions.

The goal of the Caliente Complex Bait and Water Trap Wild Horse Gather was to leave the area near Caliente in Lincoln County with about 672 wild horses.
