His first mistake was trying to steal four guns. His second one was trying to steal them at a gun show. The alleged crook scooped up four Smith & Wesson guns from a vendor's table at the RK Gun Inc. show Sunday at Cessna Activity Center, 2744 George Washington Blvd. But he didn't make it far. The vendor and at least two others who were at the show grabbed the man before he could make it out the door, held him down, then cuffed him with zip ties -- hard plastic fasteners -- until law enforcement officers arrived. Austin Sechler, the vendor who said the man tried to steal from him, said it was "the very wrong place to do this."
