I've been remiss in not including some early bluegrass in our selections. Country radio use to play bluegrass and country side by side. It's only in the modern era where they have been separated on various radio stations. We'll start with one of the most influential groups, Flatt & Scruggs. Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs recorded Down The Road in 1949, not long after breaking up with Bill Monroe.
