Barrasso wants BLM investigated
Bureau of Land Management officials have had inappropriate relationships with advocacy groups such as the National Wildlife Federation, concluded a recent interior inspector general’s report released Tuesday. U.S. Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., wrote a letter to Secretary of Interior Ken Salazar on Wednesday asking for a full investigation and review of all decisions made by the implicated BLM officials during their tenure at the BLM. A spokesman in Barrasso’s office said as he understands there was some misconduct by officials at Wyoming BLM offices, but could not speak to the specifics. Barrasso’s letter states that BLM officials were serving special interests, not the people.
