Forest Service drops plan to cut senior discount

The U.S. Forest Service has dropped a proposal to cut campground discounts for seniors and the disabled, a move welcomed by Idaho’s congressional delegation. The agency had considered cutting a 50 percent discount for holders of various discount passes down to just 10 percent at campgrounds run by private concessionaires.
