Pioneer Woman's 'Black Heels to Tractor Wheels' will be a movie
Ree Drummond, best known as the Pioneer Woman, confirmed via Twitter that her story has been optioned. The entertainment blog Deadline reported that Columbia Pictures is in talks with Reese Witherspoon to play the Pioneer Woman. On Thursday, Drummond tweeted to her fans: “Think Green Acres meets Harlequin Romance meets Forest Gump.” Ree Drummond’s story of growing up on a country club golf course in Bartlesville, moving to the bright lights and big city of Los Angeles and then meeting the unexpected love of her life, the Marlboro Man, has Hollywood written all over it. Drummond wrote that it’s her book “Black Heels to Tractor Wheels” that’s been optioned, not the blog itself.
