11 killed in shootout between Mexican soldiers and suspected drug traffickers
A SHOOTOUT between Mexican soldiers and suspected drug traffickers has left 11 people dead in Tamaulipas state near the U.S. border. Gunmen ambushed a military patrol in the town of Miguel Aleman in an exchange of fire that "killed three soldiers and eight assailants," the defence ministry said in a statement.
