House Dems plan to force climate science vote
House Democrats are planning to put Energy and Commerce Committee Republicans on the record about whether they believe in human-induced global warming. The committee will consider a GOP-led bill Tuesday that would kill EPA’s power to regulate greenhouse gases. But Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), the panel's top Democrat, has called the bill an affront to the consensus scientific view global warming is occurring and that human activities — notably burning fossil fuels — are a major reason why.
