Country shines at the Southern New Mexico Fairgrounds
Country-Western stars, a carnival and midway, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Turquoise Circuit Final Rodeo, champion livestock and lots more will be among attractions at the Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo, opening Wednesday and running through Sunday at the Southern New Mexico Fairgrounds. "We're expecting over 50,000 to come to the fair this year," said Brady Reno, the event's interim executive director. Reno said the usual attractions will be there for state fair fans. "And we'll have some new things: Boost Mobile motocross, Big Cats Rescue show with lions and even a crazy hat competition."
