DuBois is a former legislative assistant to a U.S. Senator, a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Interior, and is the founder of the DuBois Rodeo Scholarship.

N.M. year in review: Scandals, fires and partisan battles
Some of 2011's top news stories starred characters we've heard from before, from accusations against former PRC Commissioner Jerome Block Jr. to allegations about former Gov. Bill Richardson. Another big story involved familiar faces running for a new job — that of U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman, who in February announced his retirement in 2012. Others involved new stars, including Gov. Susana Martinez and her Cabinet members, and Army Sgt. 1st Class Leroy Petry. We covered these stories and others extensively in 2011, but if your power went out in February during the big winter storm, or if your TV was on the fritz after big power outages more recently in December, you may have missed some of the year's big news.
