Lee Ermey, Geico’s drill instructor therapist, is out for having denounced Barack Obama in December 2010 for trying to “impose socialism” and suggested that the Obama administration was “bringing this nation to its knees.” But that was too much for Geico, who featured the Vietnam veteran in a recent advertisement as a therapist drill instructor. On the other hand Geico might be non-partisan and just covering their ass and fires anyone who makes political statements. Seems they also fired the great announcer D C Douglas for badmouthing the Tea Party. http://news.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474978193439
