Recently arrested drug smuggler has already been deported 11 times
On Monday, Pinal County (Ariz.) sheriff's deputies arrested Daniel Jupa-Fino, 21, after eluding deputies earlier in the day. Around 4 p.m. Monday, a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on Interstate 8, when Jupa-Fino crossed into oncoming traffic, and leaped from the car. A search of the vehicle revealed 10 bundles of marijuana, weighing in at a total of 220 pounds, according to deputies. The pot has a street value of approximately $165,000. Deputies caught up with Jupa-Fino at the Pride Truck Stop in Eloy. Following a brief struggle, the Mexican national was taken into custody. During their investigation, deputies not only discovered that both suspects were in the country illegally, but that Jupa-Fino had already been deported an astonishing 11 times, in the last three years...more
