Kipp went into the championship round sitting in 3rd place. His previous times were 5.3, 5.8 and 5.6. He threw his last steer in 4.7 seconds. That made him 21.4 on four head...but just behind an athlete from Wharton College who was 21.3.
Congratulations to Tyke Kipp, Coach Brown and the entire Aggie Rodeo team for another great season, including a team GPA of 3.2!
Issues of concern to people who live in the west: property rights, water rights, endangered species, livestock grazing, energy production, wilderness and western agriculture. Plus a few items on western history, western literature and the sport of rodeo... Frank DuBois served as the NM Secretary of Agriculture from 1988 to 2003. DuBois is a former legislative assistant to a U.S. Senator, a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Interior, and is the founder of the DuBois Rodeo Scholarship.
