Trump opposes return of federal lands to states

Tonight, Field & Stream and Outdoor Life’s editorial director Anthony Licata sat down with Donald Trump and his son Donald Trump Jr. to talk guns, the privatization of federal lands, and Hillary Clinton. Watch the video of the full interview below or on line here: fieldandstream.com/trump

On privatization of federal lands: “I don’t like the idea because I want to keep the lands great, and you don’t know what the state is going to do. I mean, are they going to sell if they get into a little bit of trouble? And I don’t think it’s something that should be sold. We have to be great stewards of this land.… And the hunters do such a great job—I mean, the hunters and the fishermen and all of the different people that use that land.”

For something to be "great" it must remain in federal hands.  Wouldn't that also apply to Hotels & Casinos?

The assumption that federal ownership and management is superior to the private sector makes you wonder how Trump would treat the West if he resides at the White House.

Trump has proven through his actions over the years he has absolutely no respect for one's private property rights. If they have something he wants he has influenced and/or intimidated a government agency to condemn private property then buy it from the government entity.
