Eddy County Sheriff's deputy arrested for stealing livestock
A New Mexico sheriff’s deputy has been arrested and charged with transporting stolen livestock and he’s currently running for undersheriff in Eddy County.
“I’m totally shocked, because he grew up with my son, you know so I’m really shocked he would do that,” said Nancy Davis, Carlsbad resident.
Trey Thompson turned himself into New Mexico State Police on some pretty serious charges Friday morning.
“He is being charged with transporting of stolen livestock, conspiracy of transporting stolen livestock, and two counts of unlawful disposition of animals,” said Eddy County Sheriff Scott London.
