Nebraska cattle rancher heads Trump’s ag council

Little is known yet about Donald Trump’s new agriculture and rural area task force, but the agriculture industry met its national chairman on Wednesday at the Great American Farm Luncheon in Cleveland. Charles Herbster is the owner of Herbster Angus Farms and The Conklin Company, in Falls City, Neb., and has been a personal friend of Trump’s for more than a decade, according to his company website. Herbster considered entering the 2014 Nebraska gubernatorial race as a Republican, but chose against it a year before because his wife was recuperating from heart surgery, according to Ballotpedia.
