Issues of concern to people who live in the west: property rights, water rights, endangered species, livestock grazing, energy production, wilderness and western agriculture. Plus a few items on western history, western literature and the sport of rodeo... Frank DuBois served as the NM Secretary of Agriculture from 1988 to 2003. DuBois is a former legislative assistant to a U.S. Senator, a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Interior, and is the founder of the DuBois Rodeo Scholarship.

New blog - property rights and the ESA
The relatively new, always informative and action-oriented blog of Protect Americans Now just posted Abuse of Endangered Species Act threatens American’s private property rights which provides fodder for their important legislation, SB 481.
Other good sources of information would be The Use and Abuse of the Endangered Species Act, The Importance of Property Rights for Endangered Species Conservation, and Property Rights And The Endangered Species Act..
This is an issue that can reach out and touch any property owner at any time and our Founding Fathers were very aware of the importance of property rights to all our freedoms. Arthur Lee, a statesman and diplomat during the War for Independence, put it best when he wrote, "“The Right of property is the guardian of every other Right, and to deprive the people of this, is in fact to deprive them of their Liberty.”
Congrats to Protect Americans Now for their efforts on this and other issues of importance to our liberties.
