Supporters Of Bundy Family Enter 8th Day Of Vigil
Supporters of Ryan and Ammon Bundy are on their eighth day of a vigil across the road from the Nevada Southern Detention Facility.
The Bundys and additional defendants are scheduled for trial in Las Vegas next month for their alleged roles in a 2014 armed standoff against Bureau of Land Management officials.
The Pahrump Valley Times reports that protesters intend to remain near the detention facility for at least another week. Protester John Lamb says a defense fund set up for the Bundys five days ago has raised nearly $18,000 worldwide. He and others outside the facility claim Bundy and other inmates are being mistreated by detention officials, a claim denied by the U.S. Marshals Service. KNPR
