Border Patrol agents arrest MS-13 gang members
DETROIT, Mich. (WTVG) - Border Patrol agents assigned to the Sandusky Bay Station in Port Clinton arrested two Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang members. The arrests happened during two separate incidents over a 24-hour span. Agents caught Juan Carlos Rivera-Flores around 6:00pm on Aug. 31. According to authorities, Rivera-Flores admitted he was from El Salvador. During a follow-up investigation, agents determined he was also a member of the MS-13 gang who has been arrested in El Salvador for possessing firearms, resisting arrest, and claiming MS-13 Gang affiliation. Around 11:30am on Sept. 1, Border Patrol agents captured Wilson Antonio Miranda-Rivera. According to authorities, the MS-13 member admitted to being in the United States illegally. Records checks revealed a lengthy criminal history which includes a felony conviction for terrorist threats along with numerous arrests for illegal re-entry into the United States...more
