After President Obama established the Bears Ears National Monument on December 28, 2016, a robust debate about the size and scope of the monument has captured the attention of the nation. With interest groups spending money to influence the debate from out of state there is a need for someone to represent the local residents. Stepping on Prayers is an effort to amplify those voices through storytelling and beautiful imagery.

DuBois is a former legislative assistant to a U.S. Senator, a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Interior, and is the founder of the DuBois Rodeo Scholarship.
