The Land and Water Conservation Fund expired yesterday, which is the primary fund used by the feds to acquire private pr0perty. Enjoy your moment of liberty, as Congress is sure to fix this "problem". Pearce shows the states have been getting the shaft and would like some equity in the allocation of the funds. His views are in the Albq. Journal. Lujan-Grissom, Heinrich, et. al., could care less about state equity, they just want it permanently authorized so they won;t have to debate this any more. My view is that 640 million acres is more than they can manage now, so why acquire more?
