John Wayne's California Ranch Listed for $8 Million; Could Grow 'Weed'

A California ranch formerly owned by John Wayne has been listed for sale and it is gathering interest not only for the famous Western actor, but for its potential use as a marijuana farm.
John Wayne’s former Rancho Pavoreal property near Sage has been listed for $8 million by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, a real estate firm specializing in luxury properties.
In the listing the property is touted as being a 2,000 acre ranch located in a small agricultural community that’s only 10 minutes from wine country. It is about 100 miles southeast of Los Angeles sitting amongst mountains and valleys. The property is valued at $4,000 per acre currently.
The ranch includes three water wells, an exterior fence and cross-fencing for livestock. While there is no mention of homes or buildings in the listing, there are photos of a house and shed adorned with John Wayne memorabilia...MORE
