We were able to bring Sharon home today. She is in a lot of
pain but is glad to be home and resting in her own bed. They slit her throat from
ear to ear. She calls it her “Columbian Necktie.”
The not so good news is that it is not the typical type of thyroid
cancer. It is an aggressive type.
She has a follow up appointment next Tuesday with the
doctors who will have laid out a treatment protocol and give us a more definite
prognosis.
The whole family was here this evening for a welcome home dinner
for Sharon. She was able to join us for most of the dinner, but mainly ate a
small cup of sherbet.
She sends her sincere thanks for everyone’s prayers and well
wishes.
