I want to hear from someone, anyone, who meets two standards. One, this person is a supporter of Donald Trump and his Republican backers in Congress who believes the impeachment proceeding is illegitimate and unfair. Two, this person is ready in good faith to convince me that he or she would also oppose impeachment and believe the whole matter to be terribly unfair if the facts in the Ukraine matter were exactly the same in every respect but these: That Hillary Clinton was in the White House and she had asked a foreign leader to investigate her potential GOP opponent in the 2020 reelection.Read the entire piece with more particulars and a special email address to send your response should you care to comment.
I suppose the same question could be asked in reverse. If you supported impeaching Trump, and all the facts were the same except that it was Hillary Clinton who asked a foreign leader to investigate her potential GOP opponent, would you support impeaching Clinton?
And no, I'm not asking anyone to send me their comments on this. I just think it is an interesting and timely opportunity for everyone to make an honest assessment of their own political principles and persuasions.

What does Harris think the Steele Dossier was and is and who funded it? Really, the left thinks they are the only ones in this world.
It is a false comparison, given the fact that the coup attempt against Donald Trump started even before the election ever took place.
The sources for the two dossiers (yes, there were two separate ones) were Sydney Blumenthal and Cody Shearer, both Clinton operatives and close personal Clinton friends. They gave the dossier to Christopher Steele, who gave them Jonathan Winer (another Clinton operative), who gave them to the FBI (full of Clinton operative agents like Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, and headed by Clinton operative, James Comey).
Are you seeing a pattern here?
You have State Department official Victoria Nuland (a Clinton employee) bragging about how they helped overthrow Ukraine using $5 Billion of taxpayer money. She picked out the officials who they would install in the government of Ukraine in her infamous "F--- the EU" phone call, for which she later apologized. Than, after overthrowing the government of Ukraine, Comey's FBI (Clinton operatives) set up an office inside the Ukrainian government at NABU (the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine), where they released unsubstantiated accusations against Trump campaign manager Paul Manifort, causing him to resign right before the election. (Foreign meddling in the election? It isn't the Russians, folks.)
Joe Biden brags before the Council on Foreign Relations that he withheld $1 billion of U.S. money until the prosecutor, looking into the company (Burisma) that is paying his son millions for doing essentially nothing, is fired.
Then, having a Constitutional mandate to ensure that the laws be faithfully executed, Trump asks the Ukrainian president to look into the corruption. And for ASKING about corruption, Trump is impeached.
Yes, if the roles were reversed, and it was the republicans and Trump involved in the corruption and coup against the voters of our country, then I would be against them. I'm really not a fan of either party. I'm really not a fan of Trump either. In many respects, he has thrown his base under the bus, in my opinion.
But this isn't about Trump. This is about whether we have the right to choose our own elected officials without corrupt officials, unelected bureaucrats, and the deep state intelligentsia overriding and overthrowing the will of the People when it doesn't coincide with what THEY want!
As Benjamin Franklin said it, "...a republic, IF YOU CAN KEEP IT."
