Dino Cornay

Good evening my friends...I hope you have had a week to remember (in a good way)…I'm sure not all, but many of you are in PRCA mode this week when we are all glued to the TV watching these contestants perform marvelous feats of athleticism and showcase their talents. A lot of you are there to watch. I know I enjoy the NFR as much as the next guy and will be watching every night....here is a drawing I did many moons ago titled "Memories of the Past"...this was one of my mother's favorites, done nine years before she passed away. This is not technically one of the best pieces of work I have done as I was young and had much to learn, (still do), but it is interesting in terms of extreme contrast which I have always loved. That brilliant to dark light fascinates me, and also allows the viewer to build in shapes and outlines in places of deep shadow. That subdued light lends itself well to the feel and mood of this piece as well...hug your loved ones...never stop laughing...there's lots of humor out there. Facebook
