To: Everyone that has a grazing allotment administered by the BLMAs most of you are aware the Bureau of Land Management is in the process of revising their grazing regulations.A meeting is scheduled in Las Cruces for Tuesday, February 11th. It will be held at the Ramada Palms Hotel; 201 East University Ave.; Las Cruces from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.There will be 5 “stations” where you can pick up information and interact with the presenter. The stations will be manned by BLM employees from Washington, D.C.The stations are:
- Station 1 – Updating & Modernizing Regulations (Documents from this station will explain current grazing regulation and clarify needed changes that need to be updated)
- Station 2 – Improving Permitting Efficiency (This station and documents discuss permitting processes and opportunities for streamlined administration)
- Station 3 – Opportunity for Involvement (Materials from this station build on collaborative flexibility with stakeholders)
- Station 4 – Promoting Land Health (This station is to learn more about the history of Rangeland Health and its inclusion within current grazing regulations. This section also encourages feedback on way to revise current regulations so a single source is not held solely responsible for rangeland health.
