Dear Friends,
For almost 23 years, I’ve had the extraordinary
privilege of serving as the Executive Director of the New Mexico Cattle
Growers’ Association. We have witnessed many changes and
challenges over that time. We’ve done it together.
After a recent meeting of the NMCGA Executive
Committee, I was asked to leave my position. I have been diligently
working to tie up loose ends to do just that. Today is my last
day as your Executive Director. Now, I go a new direction.
New Mexico is my home; I intend to stay here. I plan to help the a few industry groups, to continue to publish the
New Mexico Stockman and to work as a consultant on agriculture
and policy issues at the state and national level. I hope to continue
to work with many of you in those capacities. Please stay in touch. My
new contact information is below.
Thank you for your dedicated commitment to the beef industry and to agriculture.
It has been an honor.

Inquiring minds want to know the soap opera. Surprised.
When big changes such as this are made it usually signals a change in direction of the outfit. In this case, the NMCG's board apparently wants to change direction of their mission. What is that going to be? That will come out sooner or later, but this type of dismissal of a loyal employee bods no good for the organization. We will see....meanwhile hold your check books close to your vest!
