We lost Joe Diffie yesterday, reportedly from complications associated
with the coronavirus. Here are 10 songs by Diffie that I enjoy. Eight
are country tunes, and the last two are from his bluegrass album.
1. If The Devil Danced in Empty Pockets
2. Pickup Man
3. Prop Me Up Against the Jukebox
4. Good Brown Gravy
5. Hollow Deep As Mine
6. Third Rock From The Sun
7. The Grandpa That I Know
8. What Would Waylon Do (w. George Jones)
9. Stormy Weather Once Again
10. Somehow Tonight

Plus a few items on western history, western literature and the sport of rodeo... Frank DuBois served as the NM Secretary of Agriculture from 1988 to 2003. DuBois is a former legislative assistant to a U.S. Senator, a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Interior, and is the founder of the DuBois Rodeo Scholarship.
