Thousands flock to California rodeo claiming God-given, ‘inalienable rights’
Thousands of people bucked California’s lockdown measures to exercise
what they said were their God-given, “inalienable rights” to attend a
rodeo. The Cottonwood Rodeo forged ahead Sunday with support from local law
enforcement for its annual Mother’s Day event in Shasta County, SF Gate reported. Sheriff Eric Magrini announced prior to the event that authorities
wouldn’t enforce the stay-at-home order, saying they want attendees to
be “responsible,” news station KRCR reported. “What we are seeking is that we want people to again, be
responsible,” Magrini said. “We’ve had a low, we done a good job to
