Family and close friends know I lost my wife and partner of 48 years last Monday evening (6/15/20) after a 2 year and 6-month battle with cancer. Unbeknownst to me on the Saturday before she had selected a Father’s Day card for me, which began “A Love Letter to my Husband”. The personal note she had my daughter write was, “I couldn’t have asked for a better dance partner in life. I love you with all my heart.” This is my humble attempt to respond, with the only option I have…this video. The tune I’ve selected is a WWII-era number which was recorded by Benny Goodman, the Ink Spots, Vera Lynn and others. I’ve picked a more rustic version by Johnny Cash, which I know Sharon would have preferred. By sharing this with you, my hope is I’m also sharing it with and honoring the wonderful woman who made my life complete. THE WESTERNER https://thewesterner.blogspot.com/

A beautiful tribute to a life well lived and loved. I never saw her without a smile on her face and a funny story to share.
Terrific
So Beautiful Daddy❤❤😥😥 and you are right, mom would like the Johnny Cash version better❤
That was truly a love letter. Thank you for sharing that, Frank. Sharon, I am sure, is loving it from heaven.
You two lovebirds shared so much together, including your love for music. This was the perfect song for your beautiful wife. What a touching tribute! Love, your sis
Just beautiful, Frank. The song and pictures were perfectly matched. You're a very strong man. Make sure you are taking care of you. You have some wonderful kids and grandkids to help you through it all. My deepest condolences and prayers for you and your family. (P.S. Randy adored you.)
