Plus a few items on western history, western literature and the sport of rodeo... Frank DuBois served as the NM Secretary of Agriculture from 1988 to 2003. DuBois is a former legislative assistant to a U.S. Senator, a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Interior, and is the founder of the DuBois Rodeo Scholarship.

Mayci and Cali, Grand Champions
Mayci Abele, riding her mare, Red High Heels (aka Cali), out of Red Wine was crowned Grand Champion of the non pro division at the recent Tucson Winter Classic. Bought as a green broke filly Mayci trained the horse winning the first time she showed her in 2019. Now ridden out of Ashbrook Farms in Tucson, Mayci refers to her as her red rocket. Mayci and husband,Keegan,live in Tucson. She is an graduate of NMSU and the granddaughter of Steve and Kathy Wilmeth of Mesilla, New Mexico.
