Dino Cornay

Hello everybody, here is a post of the breed of cattle that I grew up with. I have always been around Herefords and still love 'em. The entire northeastern part of NM was once the hub of Hereford country in the U.S. There are not near as many now as there were years ago, but there are still three renowned registered operations not far from here. Included is a drawing of a calf just completed recently as well as two other drawings done some years back. The bull, "Lone Ranger", was done back in '98. He was a monster and what made him look even larger was that the weights were not left on his horns quite long enough when he was a youngster. Thank God he was mild mannered, or he could have been dangerous! I don't know what he weighed. The cow is from one of only three registered herds in the entire nation that still has registered horned cows and horn brands as well. She comes from the great purebred herd of the Copeland family of Nara Visa, NM. Enjoy the art. These three images will soon be added to my greeting card collection. Blessings to everybody.
