Today marks the 115th anniversary of the birth of singing cowboy Gene Autry in Tioga, Texas. I've posted many really great photos of Gene over the years but I've never posted this, which is a photo of the house Gene was raised in until his family moved to Oklahoma in the early 1920s. From modest beginnings to owning the California Angels Major League Baseball team. Pretty amazing. This photo comes from the Childress County Historical Commission , whom I'm sure would appreciate a like/follow here on FB if you can spare one.
