Arizona dam sees highest water level in 5 years, relieving farmers: report

Eastern Arizona's Coolidge Dam has reportedly recorded the highest water level in five years.

According to Fox 10 Phoenix, rainfall this season has helped raise the water at the dam to over 220,000 acre-feet — the highest mark since March 2017.

The station said, citing the U.S. Geological Survey, that it is also the highest December total ever recorded.

A report from the Arizona Department of Water Resources on Dec. 6 of November conditions said that Arizona was much cooler than normal.

Mohave County, in particular, received above-average precipitation, while most other counties received near- to below-average precipitation...more
