The kid bites the dust

..
 It happened like this:

II had surgery on my right eye at the surgery center in El Paso.

The left eye had the cataract removal done the week before.

As I was leaving the surgery center, I was completely blinded by the sun.

I went over about an 8 inch drop, my wheelchair turned left and then turned rapidly to the left and fell on its  right side, spilling me out as it landed.

I laid there on my right side  (half on cement and half on asphalt) as I tried to figure out what o do

The nurses called an ambulance.

The EMTs came and wanted take me to the hospital. I said no, just put me in the wheelchair /and let me go home. I had to sign a paper that I refused service. They put a sheet under me and lifted me into  my wheelchair and from there I was able to enter the van and my caregiver drove me home.

The jury is still out on whether or not I made the right choice

Gotta keep those cinches tighter! Home is always the best decision. Sorry you got hurt!

Jeez, Frank, we have to be more careful at this stage of the game. I agree, home is always better. Hope you recuperate from these trials and tribulations speedily. If you want something to take your mind off to a different place check out some of my rants at "Dexter K. Oliver on Muckrack". There's a new one out this week.
