Rocky Mountain Youth Corps*: $1,000,000 This is a Steamboat Springs organization not a NM group. But so what they are all trust babies who love to strut in the woods ( close to a road ). Why would they need one million of our tax dollars? What have the done with their youth groups that warrant that kind of money? IMO what a waste! I see they promoted a all women's fire fighting force....also a waste since they rarely have the stamina to stay on the fire line for very long periods of time. The whole waste of money by the FS is a travesty.....it wants to be another Park Service.
5 million dollars to Tree NM. I'll bet they don't plant too many trees in the Barrio. Besides, this type of work is what the county agent does. Why not give that group the money?
