NMSU to offer unmanned aircraft systems workshop

New Mexico State University's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Flight Test Center will conduct a three-day workshop in September to teach government, civil and business officials about the new technology and regulations. The workshop will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 to Sept. 15, at the NMSU's Physical Science Laboratory, at Anderson Hall, 1050 Stewart St. The workshop will cost $300 per person, with a working lunch included. Registration is available online at http://psl.nmsu.edu. The workshop will focus on providing a better understanding of technology, determine the right sensor and UAS for a particular application, preparing for changes in the fast-moving industry, becoming aware of the administrative and Federal Aviation Administration regulations, and learn how to develop a plan and achieve each organization’s goals, according to an NMSU news release.
